Preseason Newsletter January 2024

Welcome to all new and returning players.

We have yet again another exciting season ahead of us being able to have the amazing opportunity of playing indoors at MainPower Stadium again this season.

Premiers will continue to play on a Thursday evening game times being – 6.30pm and 8.00pm

Senior Reserve Grade will be playing 12-minute quarters this season so the logistics of timing are still be arranged by North Canterbury Netball.

All other Grade Teams will be as per normal playing between 8am and 5pm on Saturdays

Future Ferns Teams years 5-6 will play on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm as will Future Fern years 7-8 playing at Dudley Park.

2024 registration for Kaiapoi netball Club will be open from 25/01/2024 and will close on 29/02/2024.

Registering is easily done online at www.kaiapoinetball.co.nz – if you are unable to complete the online registration form, please contact our administrator Abby on 022 033 7273, or please contact us directly on our Facebook page/messenger.

When you have completed the online registration, you will receive an email including policies, rules and an itemized invoice for the season.

Please note there is a registration fee included in the invoice of which needs to be paid before Tuesday the 5th of March at 5pm, 2 days prior to trials beginning. If you haven’t paid your registration fee you will not be able to trial and this will be enforced.

Payment options are available!!! ‘Pay and Play’ 10 weeks of evenly split payments contracts must be arranged and signed by the 29th of February. Please contact our administrator Abby directly to arrange this. Invoices must be paid in full before collecting uniform for the season. We are looking at having gear day at team allocated times this season coaches will give you all information required plus it will also be put on Facebook and our website.


NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Names may be put on a waiting list and only contacted if a space becomes available.

2024 SUBSCRIPTIONS:

We are very aware that this is an expensive time of the year, if this causes financial hardship, please contact info@kaiapoinetball.co.nz prior to registration to work out a payment option.

PREMIERS - $345

GRADE - $290

PRIMARY (Year 7/8) - $180

PRIMARY (Year 5/6) - $170

These fees INCLUDE a $100 registration fee for Premier players & $50 registration fee for Grade & Future Ferns players


TRIALS:

This season we will be holding Premier & Senior, Grade & Primary Trials on different days. Please ensure you have paid you registration fee by the 05/03/2024 to be able to trial.        

All trials are held at Kaiapoi High School please make sure you're on time and give yourself enough time to sign in. If you're unable to make trials please inform Abby on 022 033 7273 as soon as you can.

Thursday 07/03/2024 6.30pm - finished

Sunday 10/03/2023 9am - finished


GRADE TRIALS: 

Tuesday 12/03/2024 at 6.00pm - finished

Sunday 10/03/2024 at 11am - finished


FUTURE FERN TRIALS: Year 7 and 8s only: 

Tuesday 12/03/2024 at  6pm - finished

Sunday 10/03/2024 at 11am - finished


PRESEASON TRAINING:

Preseason training will be held Sunday’s 11th and 18th February 2024 9.30am – 10.30am at Kaiapoi High School Courts. Contact Lou for more info on 027 525 4400


PRACTICE – PREMIERS, GRADE & PRIMARY

Club practice night is Tuesday’s; times will be allocated to each team. We run this so you all get the opportunity to meet the other girls in the club. In the event that our court space is filled on a Tuesday, training may also need be held on Thursday afternoons/evenings. Coaches and teams will be advised asap.


WE REQUIRE NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS!!!

If you can spare a couple of hours per month we would very much appreciate it! Being part of the Kaiapoi Netball committee can be very rewarding. It is 1 meeting per month for roughly 1 hour. We are after any new ideas and input


COACHES/MANAGERS As always we require coaches and managers for all grades, support will be given! If you are interested in coaching, co-coaching please fill in our Coaching Expression of Interest form and email it through to info@kaiapoinetball.co.nz – or message Facebook page. Please note we cannot register teams with North Canterbury without a coach. We will be running coaching courses to assist you with coaching.
